So I happened to be walking past the bullion store here in good ol’ Vancouver, and so I went in! Lately there has been very little variety, with lots of their products sold out. Anyway, I spied me a couple sweet generics and gladly peeled off a few fiat dollars to exchange.
Here’s what I got:
A couple more ounces to throw on the old loot pile!
Here’s how they’re doing it up here today...
1 oz paper price is $31.75
1 oz generic in hand $38.16, or, almost a 20% premium on real metal, in hand.
With that kind of spread you’d expect we were talking about two different things — and we are!
Futures contracts (or “paper” silver) react to one of the most manipulated markets on the planet, whereas the real metal just takes it’s “cue” from spot price, and then savvy dealers slap on the premium — on top of the premium that the mint charges. And that’s if you can even get them to send any metal!
I have read that the Central Bank of Mexico has suspended the production of Libertads, and that the US Mint has done so also, but fear not lmao, they say it is just temporary...
And so i ask: what happens when there is no real metal left to buy?
The answer: it’s gonna’ get a whole lot more expensive!
Keep on stacking the metal friends! Short of some wild ass crypto profits, it’ll be the best performing asset going fwd, when measured against stocks, bonds, and other shady financial instruments.

My LSC coins are out for the next 2 weeks. They have RCM and store branded and some misc. bars. So not quite there yet but looking "better"...
