Good manager is one who plans, organizes, leads and controls any industrial or organizational process. Without proper planning manager can't do anything.
Suppose a customer A gives order to an organization and you are the manager there who appointed to plan that order which have to be complete within 10 days. You will first of plan that order in such a way that how much time is given, is that order compiles with the sources available and labor force in your industry. You will plan that how raw material will be obtained by some firm ( let's say fabric), how much labor you have, which type of machinery and equipment you have and what are dispatching facilities at your unit. You will make a rough sketch on a paper to analyze your plan and if you are satisfy with you sketch then you will discuss with top managers or CEO of your company. If plan is verified then you will shift next task to the organizing manager.
If you are organizing manager then you will re analyze the plan and will allocate the resources, labor and machinery. You will arrange all the required raw materials, and other things to start production.
After that leading role is very important. If you are a leading manager then you will come below your level; means that you will talk with labor personally and motivate them to work with honesty, courage and determination. If they work with full dedication then you can get success in your goal of leadership.
After that controlling comes. Controlling means to observe all the processes taking place in industry or in your unit. You will observe that either labor and machines are running well or not. If there is any kind of problem with machine then you will call the mechanic to repair that machine as early as possible to continue your production. Controlling is also a best function of proper management.
It means that a good manager is one who performs all mentioned functions properly with full dedication and honesty.
Good manager always behave softly with his subordinates and labor force.
