Feyi fell in love with fizzy drinks way back as a child.
She took a bottle with every meal and more in between.
She didn't see the need for drinking water even when thirsty.
She continued that way for years till she started itching terribly after bathing especially on her legs.
Feyi was then diagnosed with acute dermatitis which is an extreme case of dryness of the skin caused by dehydration and was told drinking adequate water was part of the treatment.
There are people I know who like Feyi do not think drinking adequate amounts of water is necessary.
They believe in taking in liquid/ fluid even if it's beer.
Truly, water is tasteless and you don't feel like drinking most times.
Not with the bloated feeling it gives and make you a regular visitor to the convenience.
If all you had to do to add water to your skin was to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water daily, use a hydrating moisturiser while your skin is still damp and smoke 4 packs of cigarettes daily.
Sorry, you would end up being dehydrated like panla 😜.
Adequate water intake helps maintain healthy skin.
It hydrates the skin, prevents dryness, improves elasticity of the skin, reduces the occurrence of acne and delays wrinkles.
You can add chopped, sliced or grated fruits to it for taste.
More people are becoming aware of the role water plays in maintaining a radiant complexion, plump and healthy skin.
Knowing how to apply it to the skin in the right amounts is also essential.
