SMART WATCHES OR SMARTER BIO-TRACKING

I've only owned two Yamay smart watches, models ID205 & ID206. These smart watches are solely dependent on the mobile app, known as VeryFit(ID206) and VeryFit Pro(ID205) to function. The ID206 has no functionality, besides stating the time and steps counted, without connecting to the app. If the watch completely dies, you have to re-sync it to the app after a recharge or the time will be off and the interface will not be interactive. This is very disappointing to me because the idea of a watch not being able to tell time without syncing up with an app is a strange limitation. These products use bluetooth to synchronize with the phone but it's mandatory that the location is turned on to accomplish synchronization? Have you read the privacy policy and terms and conditions? Do you know that this software is closed source? Think about this formula. These are primitive states of bio tracking. Sure mobile phones are in everyone's pocket and constantly broadcasting its status to the world. It doesn't however record your heart rate or other bodily functions i.e sleeping.
