It's better to self censor when you are in a position of employee or when you are not even as fortunate as that. And most students are paying money to get a certificate in order to become some employee somewhere when it has been shown time and time again people say anything offensive they can lose their jobs. The definition of offensive expands and balloons to such nebulous and broad definition there is no job security with any speech, whatsoever.

Whatever the case, this movement gets what it wants plus virtue signals.
