Let's face it, "birds with the same feathers flock together"; that saying doesn't only apply in real life but it also exist here in the Steem network. Even after the implementation of EIP (change that encourage content curation), I'm still seeing accounts that support other accounts having similar SP level of theirs. This isn't new and I don't see any wrong about it. And I don't blame them as well since support begets support in return.
It is quite similar to the Filipino tradition "bayanihan"; it goes this way "I help you carry your house and you help me with mine". In Steemit terms, I will upvote your content so long as you upvote mine. Does it sound familiar? In mainstream social media, it's called like-for-like or follow-for-follow.
We are still a social media platform afterall and the exchange of support with other accounts is a form of networking.
