Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert was a serial child molester who tried to keep his victims quiet with large cash payments. In the UK, top governmental officials were involved in a VIP pedophile ring and Margaret Thatcher herself protected Pedophile Information Exchange member Sir Peter Hayman from being publicly named. The 1995 book TRANCE Formation of America alleged that key figures in the US government were involved in the most depraved of abuses. In our post-Epstein world, this doesn't seem so far fetched.
Most members of our ruling class probably aren't pedophiles. But every member of this class protects and supports predators of all types. Sexual predators. Economic predators. Our control regime doesn't deter predation. It rewards it.
Under this regime, average people are little more than resources for the powerful to exploit. We want to be more than that, and this desire is itself exploited by various industries selling products to help us express ourselves. Authenticity is hard to come by when every subculture is also a marketing category. Social awareness is hard to develop outside the context of real community.
Even so, authenticity and community represent essential parts of any better way forward. Is there a way to be authentic while under the influence of the control regime's mind control efforts? Is there a way to build community while the regime injects noise and false narratives into public discourse? There is, but it might require some unlearning.
Dominant culture teaches us that race and gender are the basis of our identities. Yet the quality of a person's character seems much more important in my opinion. Circumstances shouldn't determine our identities. Choices should. After all, our authentic selves are most clearly revealed in the choices we make.
The control regime dismantled or compromised nearly all physical communities in the US decades ago. These days, physical public space is mostly gone and online networks are called communities. Despite the loss of traditional spaces, we can still be in real community with each other. While this might not always be easy, finding shared values seems like a good place to start.
On an individual level, it isn't easy to separate the authentic self from control regime programming. And it isn't fun to feel like you're the only one questioning the official story. In truth, this story is full of holes and many people are questioning it. That would be more obvious if dissent weren't so relentlessly suppressed.
From my perspective, one of the most pressing questions before us now is whether to accept the control regime's stranglehold on news and social media, or to abandon the legacy system in favor of independent alternatives. I think we should do the latter. Sooner rather than later.

WOW! What an incredible reflection. For some reason I’m reminded of my first time going to a clothing optional hot springs where everyone was naked. Being exposed like that for the first time was a total stretch outside of my comfort zone. Yet after a while, it’s like something lifted in me and the spell of fear was gone. I felt so free and natural.
I feel like once people start seeing beyond the division and identity politics, it might be similar to that process.
