¡Hola, Mundo!
Hoy es día de reflexión. Será la centésima publicación que comparto por aquí y cuánto ha cambiado todo desde aquella primera, hace casi dos años. En esa primera presentación tenía una idea general de qué era lo que quería escribir, y lo resumí muy escuetamente en 70 palabras. Pero ahí quedó todo, no me atreví a lanzarme, todavía no había descubierto el placer de escribir. Tuvo que pasar más de un año para que lo retomara con una segunda presentación, esta vez más extensa y bilingüe (español e inglés).
Por aquel entonces necesitaba días para preparar una entrada, todo era muy confuso para mí, no comprendía los tecnicismos que se manejan (sigo en ello jejeje), no tenía claro cómo enfocar los temas, cómo editar las imágenes, a quién etiquetar, qué era una comunidad o un curador,... ¡No sabía nada! Era un poco frustrante, la verdad. Fue mi hijo el que me animó a compartir mis trabajos y experiencia, insistía en que tenía mucho que mostrar y este era el lugar ideal. Él también estaba empezando, pero la diferencia generacional hacía que yo fuese mucho más lenta en mi manejo por este espacio. Lo tenía aburrido a preguntas (jajaja el pobre), sobre todo porque para muchas de ellas él tampoco tenía respuesta.

Today is a day of reflection. It will be the hundredth post I've shared here and how much everything has changed since that first one, almost two years ago. In that first presentation I had a general idea of what I wanted to write about, and I summarised it very succinctly in 70 words. But that was all, I didn't dare to take the plunge, I hadn't yet discovered the pleasure of writing. More than a year had to pass before I took it up again with a second presentation, this time more extensive and bilingual (Spanish and English).
At that time I needed days to prepare a post, everything was very confusing for me, I didn't understand the technicalities involved (I'm still working on it hehehe), I wasn't clear on how to approach the topics, how to edit the images, who to tag, what a community or a curator was,.... I didn't know anything! It was a bit frustrating, to be honest. It was my son who encouraged me to share my work and experience, he insisted that I had a lot to show and this was the ideal place. He was starting out too, but the generation gap meant that I was much slower to get to grips with this space. I had him bored with questions (hahaha the poor guy), especially because for many of them he didn't have an answer either.
Fueron pasando las semanas y conseguí crear una rutina en mis publicaciones. Lo que al principio iba a ser (pensaba yo) un monográfico de scrapbooking, fue dando paso a todas las inquietudes artesanas y artísticas que me rondan la cabeza y ocupan mi tiempo. Haciendo un recuento, después de 99 posts:
- He escrito más de 60.000 palabras (en realidad llevo un total de 120.195, pero este número incluye la traducción del inglés).
- He editado 838 imágenes propias (excepto dos o tres, no son más, tomadas de internet). E incluso el número es mayor, porque muchas de estas imágenes son un montaje de varias. Además, aparte del sello de miAu! muchas de ellas incluyen textos explicativos (en inglés y en español).
- He acumulado 18.239 "likes" y también 6 "dislikes" (de esto quiero dejar constancia, me parece hasta gracioso que alguien se entretenga en dejar claro que algo no le gusta, y que yo sea su objetivo).
Bueno, es que me gusta dejarlo todo anotado en mi hoja de cálculo, donde anoto la fecha de la publicación, él título, la imagen que la precede, el tema principal, el enlace a ella, los "me gusta", las votaciones,...:
Weeks went by and I managed to create a routine in my publications. What at first was going to be (I thought) a monograph on scrapbooking, gradually gave way to all the artisan and artistic concerns that are on my mind and occupy my time. Doing a count, after 99 posts:

A veces ha sido desesperante ver cómo después de horas de trabajo editando, montando y escribiendo, la recompensa fue nula, y no me refiero a los hives obtenidos, hablo, por ejemplo, de la publicación "Los protagonistas: los papeles", en la que con 2.460 palabras (bilingüe), 6 fotografías y un gift creados para la ocasión, y muchas horas de trabajo, obtuve tan sólo 9 "likes". Pienso que no es que la publicación fuese mala, quizás no supe "etiquetar" adecuadamente o no tuve la suerte de llegar a quien tuviera poder de voto. Lo que no deja de desanimar bastante. He leído esto mismo en publicaciones de compañeros y compañeras de Hive, y lo peor es que sigo sin saber dónde está la diferencia entre tener éxito o no con una entrada, aparte del obvio -por supuesto- de que no a todo el mundo tienes por qué gustarle (jeje).
De momento seguiré por aquí. Disfruto creando mis publicaciones y tengo mucho que aprender aún. Por fin estoy encontrando comunidades afines, y lo más satisfactorio: personas con las que compartir inquietudes y experiencias. Intercambiar unas palabras con un escritor o una artesana que está "al otro lado del charco" es muy gratificante, y hacerlo con un paisano, te saca una sonrisa (parece que somos pocos españoles por aquí).
No sólo quiero que leáis mis contenidos, me gusta leer vuestras publicaciones y comentarios. Me alegran tanto unas palabras halagadoras o de ánimo en mi post de alguien que se ha leído mi publicación y se ha "molestado" en dedicarme un poco de su tiempo para responderme. Y me gusta dedicar un comentario a esas publicaciones que me llegan, bien por su belleza, bien por su buen hacer. Así que espero que sean otras 100, y muchas más, y nos sigamos leyendo.

I'm finally finding like-minded communities, and the most satisfying thing: people to share concerns and experiences with. Exchanging a few words with a writer or a craftswoman who is "on the other side of the pond" is very gratifying, and doing it with a fellow countryman makes you smile (it seems that there are few Spaniards around here).
I don't just want you to read my content, I like to read your posts and comments. I am so happy to receive flattering or encouraging words on my post from someone who has read my publication and has "bothered" to spend a little of their time responding to me. And I like to dedicate a comment to those posts that reach me, either for their beauty or for their good work. So I hope there will be another 100, and many more, and that we will continue to read each other.
