Bitcoin surpassed the $12,000 mark on Wednesday to hit a fresh all-time high, a week after crossing $10,000. Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market value, started below $1,000 at the start of 2017 and has risen over 1,100% this year. After crossing the $11,000 mark last week, the cryptocurrency had lost 20% of its value in one day.
Isn't it crazy? I still remember back when I was astonished that it reached $400. If only I hadn't been a megapoor high schooler back then - I could've been a millionaire now. Oh well.
Anyway, I can't help but wonder if some people are right in predicting a crash. I mean, even if it does crash, I'm sure it will recover and eventually continue to rise higher, but a crash does seem possible.
