I have been asked about my pseudonym tryskele. I have always been fascinated by spirals. They're kind of meditative for me, following the lines and drawing them just hits home.
It was a picture just like this one that piqued my interest. I had some friends that their family went on vacation to the UK. This was one of their many stops. I think I enjoyed this picture more than that of Stonehenge.

In fact this was one of the many reasons my spiritual path changed. Seeing a Triskele (or Triskelion) for the first time and then researching it as I could with the limited resources back then I became mesmerized. It resonated within me. It's like it answered a question I didn't know I was asking. To me I saw several linkings. It reminded me of how we all as a species are interconnected. As well as being interconnected to the planet and universe itself. We may just be a speck in the entirety of 'The Big Picture.' At some point we become connected through the spirals of life itself.
A Triskele or Triskelion is a pre-celtic symbol that is represented by 3 interconnected spirals. Sometimes it is referred to simply as a Triple Spiral. It is actually considered in many circles to be Neolithic. One of the first discoveries of it was at Newgrange, Ireland.

Triskelion
In several artifacts throughout the world the artwork and symbolism have been used to represent various ideals Depending on which path or the heritage of the symbol, it can stand for past, present, future.;Mind, body, soul (spirit); Birth, life, death, and so forth. In general it is viewed as symbol of protection. It protects the gateway to the Newgrange cairn which is one of the first discoveries of the symbol. With where I was at that point in my life, I needed all of the above. A reminder of where I was, where I am and what I will become. As well, as a reminder that without taking care of my mind, my body, and spirit my life would be out of balance.
Of course this is my opinions and feelings. There are so many interpretations that come from this. As I mentioned this is one way I view myself so as far as Steemit goes, it is a perfect fit. Is part of what I can become.
