So i’ve been playing splinterlands for a month now and while it’s my first blockchain game, i can see myself playing this game for years to come. Here’s a few reasons from a newbies perspective:
1 Affordable startup cost
Compared to other crypto games which could cost you hundreds if not thousands of dollars, in splinterlands all you need is $10 to buy a spellbook and start earning tokens you can then trade.
Tip: be on the lookout for streamers and other content creators who can give out spellbook for free. You can also use my referral code below whenever you sign up: https://splinterlands.com?ref=beerbod
2 No endless grinding
Many of today’s games requires a lot of time and effort in order to stay competitive. Thats not the case in splinterlands where theres only 1 daily quest and you can play the game for under an hour and be decently rewarded.
Tip: Capture Rate for Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) drops everytime you complete a game. Get as much wins as possible while your capture rate is high.
3 Fair Competition
Whether you are a casual gamer, or aiming for the leader boards you can expect to be matched with a same level/skilled opponent. The league division is nicely spreadout that it caters to a broad range of gamers. Tip: watch top battles from your rank and learn from the best players.
4 Can generate passive income
The launch of splintershards and airdrops added a whole new dynamic to the crypto gaming scene. Daily airdrops for the next 12months automatically gives you tokens even if you cant play the game for a day or two.
Tip: Aim to raise power daily by purchasing cards. The higher your points the higher share you get from the daily airdrops.
5 Future Updates
Constant updates plus the 5 year roadmap provides a sense of stability and security for players. Its a statement of commitment not commonly seen from game developers. Tip: there are so many thigs to come and the game will always be beginner friendly. But if you want to be ahead then the best way is to get started. Now.

Hello, @beerbod
This is @fionasfavourites from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member - Keeping Up With the Buzz – My Introduction to the Hive Community.
Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out – Hive Communities.
Also since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.
Also, as this the hive can be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful – easy to understand – posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.
For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, you are welcome to tag me (@fionasfavourites) and please mention @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
Thanks @lovesniper @fionasfavourites. Will work on creating an intro post. Yeah things are pretty new to me so thanks for sharing those links.
