The team behind Splinterlands has published a new share your battle challenge this time the challenge involves a bit of.. spark
Without further ado here is this week's challenge
Theme: Spark Pixies
The spark pixies is a rare card from the untamed series. It can be yours for 0.10$.
With the speed of sparks (5), 4 mana, the flying ability and 2 range attack at level 1 it's easy to understand why it is that expensive.
Not everything is positive though, with 1 hitpoint the spark pixies are an easy prey to cards with the ability of opportunity, one of the most popular abilities of the untamed series.
When the right rules are chosen, specially Earthquake but also Little League the spark pixies can be a dangerous card.
During Earthquake the flying ability of the spark pixies come in handy as it won't take damage after each turn. This is why this card could be better for this ruleset than the Fire Demon
Within the format of Little League the fact that it costs 4 Mana and has 2 range attack turns it into a valuable option behind Fire Demon and Fire Beetle of a higher level
The Battle
This battle involved the rules of Little League and Weak Magic.
I could have used the fire beetle which has more hitpoints and the snipe ability but decided to rely on the faster speed of the Pixies. As you can see the pixies was one of the fastest monster on the battlefield. It definitely helped me to win!
My Lineup
For Little League this is one of my best lineups possible as each card can deal more than 1 damage.
A strong card with the healing ability can be very useful for the first position. Cerberus is thus one of the best options for little league
Beetle queen occupied my second position. It can deal a great amount of magic damage and has a decent defense.
Third and four Serpentine Spy and Parasitic growth respectively. These 2 cards can deal melee damage and have the opportunity ability. Because of their low hitpoints they should stay a bit behind.
The Pixies should stay in front of a creature with more hitpoints, otherwise it will be eliminated by one sneaky attack. This is why the pixies come before the fire demon. One of the best cards for the last position

Yes! Keeping them protected is most important as they are potentially easy to kill... but their speed helps more often than not. Thanks for sharing this!
