The climb in most leagues is fairly easy from 3 to 1, but once you make it to the top level of each leagues be ready to get beat back down in ratings.
This is how it feels playing in modern silver for me right now. I was getting 45-60 added rating point for a while to get me into silver 1, but once i made it there the creep up was very difficult. One win and I may get 10-20 points or even more on the very rare occasion, but not the losses loose me more points than my wins get me the points back. Making it extreamly difficult to move up to the gold leagues where I should be playing. Got enuff stacked SPS to play GOLD 1 and get a 10x multiplier plus.
The point of this post is that we should not take a big of a hit to our rating for a loss compared to what we get for a win. Right now according to the leaderboard in the modern league only 85 people could move up to gold leagues if they wanted too. Talk about a gateway to move up. I am just a lil salty cause I was almost there. 1899 points and one win away from moving up. Since then I am 6-8, but now my ratings are at 1799. 100 points difference for only 2 extra losses. I have all of these gold leveled cards, that can't even make it into gold leagues. Feeling very discouraged. But I will not give up. I may just have to stick into wild leagues where I have a shot at winning. Or in Tournaments like the one I was just in with darkestnyte and aftersound where I won the silver league modern tournament I was in. Under 20 people in the tournament, but boy did they have some great decks.
Hope this dos'nt fall on deaf ears. Lets hope this can be another spark for small change. We should try to figure out a way for us to maintain our climbs without such a small gateway that is difficult to move up through.

Well, I am glad that no one else experiences this. Could kill the motivation of a splinterlands player. After another day of playing. No positive traction made. I actually slipped down a lil with a winning record. My average wins would take me up less than my average losses on ratings. Hope yall are doing better than me, but it seems like I am only getting a few upvotes, and no one really reading this waste of a post. Salty. I need to go get a coffee. CHeers
After the coffee and 2 wins against players with higher rankings than me. I got 50 and a 61 point gain to advance to gold. woot. Still a headache to get into the league and a lot of luck. now to climb in gold so that I don't get delegated back down to silver to have to do it all over again.
