Really excited about this functionality here and what it can do!
Sorry to be a debby downer, but what was the decision behind making the card so weak? At 5 mana, I cannot see many people wanting it, max or otherwise, which by proxy, means most people aren't very likely to participate. It also requires 15 hours a month, for 115 months to max.
That'd mean less numbers and social boosts than it could, wouldn't it?
is there any possibility of buffs to put this card at least moderately in line with the average card? (or allowing it to be used level capped at 4 in Frontier? where it might actually see some use)
As it is, it's only weaker than 1 or 2 cards in all of Modern: Khazi Firemage, and Chaos Lackey - even Chaos Lackey probably has the edge due to lower mana, high speed, and true strike.
Sorry to not be such a fan of the card (heh), but I think it's worth mentioning that a throwaway card is not going to do much compared to a more usable card in terms of gathering interest or creating the numbers we would want to see.
Definitely don't want it to be an OP or even strong card, but I think it's just lacking currently for a promotional card designed to bring people in to the game, and to engage with our streamers
Amplify can be incredible in the right ruleset. He has enough armour and health to survive a while even if the opponent is reflecting ranged attacks back at him. If you're playing in a ranged only ruleset, and have a big reflecty boi up front, he can sit nicely in second place.
I agree, I feel like we have a LOT of potential with this Twitch Drop system to help promote our game and while the card shouldn't be meta defining, it should be an actual useful card. We are dropping the ball here if this is the final stats, abilities, etc. I honestly think we should brainstorm some tweaks even if it delays the release by a week. I dont mean to be so blunt, but the time is too short to try and sugar coat things.
2 ranged at level 4, close range, 4 mana, there are a lot of things to consider (not all of those at once). Heck even Recharge could make it an interesting card for the new modern and kind of add to the story of it's purpose. Let it take a round to gain excitement and then attack, then needs a moment to rest before giving it's full effort again.
Make it a card people will consider to use in their deck and we can really profit from the marketing and viewer draw to Twitch. We have a long road ahead of us to earn a leveled version, let's make the effort more worthwhile.
