With the arrival of the chaos legion edition, many cards were added in splinterlands and also many new combinations to be used and one of these is Lava Spider and that's what I'm going to talk about today.
Lava Spider, as the name says, is a card from the fire deck that has a ranged attack, I'm going to base it on level 1 since it was at that level that I used it in battle. It has 1 ranged attack, 2 speed and 4 health which is not much but since it has 3 mana cost so it can be a good option, in addition it also has the Snipe ability that attacks the monsters of the back line and giving priority to those with ranged or magic attacks.
But let's see how she is in battle, I will talk about my choices of cards and the enemy as well.
Tarsa is my summoner since with the arrival of chaos legion she is the best summoner option without spending a lot of mana, and also having +1 melee attack and +1 health is very useful in battles since it is a balance between attack and durability.
The Antoid Platoon I chose because it has a low mana cost and because of the shield skill that reduces melee and ranged damage when he is attacked, but since the tarsa gives him +1 attack then it is a good choice and in addition to giving +1 health for it to last longer on the battlefield.
Horny Toad wouldn't be my first choice but as the mana cost of the battle was low and I used a lot of cards so he's very useful but his agility is terrible.
Serpentine Spy is the card to finish monsters with low health as it has the opportunity skill and also thanks to Tarsa it has great damage and also a little more hp so it doesn't die so easily since it had only 1 hp before.
Lava Spider will be very useful in this battle as she has the snipe ability and the enemy team's biggest threat is the back cards.
And to protect the rear we have the Tenyii Strike that has a reasonable damage and a good amount of health in addition to the sneak skill that is very useful to eliminate the cards from behind that are the big threat.
Now let's go to the enemy team's cards.
He chose Obsidian as a summoner who is a very used summoner and give +1 magic damage to the magic cards and as he has 2 of these cards in his team so it is a priority to eliminate them as soon as possible since my card in the first position is the Antoid Platoon and he is very vulnerable to magic attacks.
To be the team's tank he chose the card Unicornio Mustang which is a very useful card against magic cards since it has the void ability that reduces the magic damage received, but as I don't have any magic cards in my team so it's not a big deal problem.
In the second position he used the Venari Spellsmith which is a magic card with little damage but since he has Obsidian as a summoner then it makes it stronger and it also has the dispel ability that clears all the positive effects of the card it attacks but that is not a threat to my team.
And finally, he chose the Psychic Goblin that, in addition to having the highest magic damage on the team, also has the heal tank ability that heals the first position card and that's why eliminating it is a priority since if he keeps healing the Unicorn Mustang it would be problematic and on top of that he has 3 magic damage thanks to Obsidian so not eliminating him would be a big problem.
Now let's go to battle.
As you can see my defense is not very good, but the moment I defeat the back row magic cards the battle will become much easier.
In the first round I was able to eliminate the 2 magic cards since most of my cards attack the enemy's back line and only the Unicorn Mustang is left that is almost defeated and his void ability is useless and he also doesn't have the Psychic Goblin to heal So this battle is pretty much over.
And as you can see it was a victory without me losing any cards, so cards like Lava Spider are useful as they have the snipe ability and eliminating the back row cards that are usually the most problematic is a priority, so you don't have to think twice to have this card because it is very useful.
