I've been using this card for a while since I luckily rented it for only 10 DEC per day. (Thanks to PeakMonsters Auto Rental.). With that intro out of the way, let's get Kraken! (See what I did there? :) )

Lore
They say that in the recent shifting of the Planet that has come with the Untamed, great schisms were opened on the floors of the seas. Through these new openings emerged new monsters from the core beyond, larger than anything even the most traveled Azmaré pirate has ever seen. The Kraken is one such beast, and one that occasionally swims as high as the water’s surface. Sailors who have seen it say that it approaches from beneath like a great storm cloud, somehow darkening everything around it with its massive shadow. With the swipe of a single tentacle, the Kraken can capsize the mightiest ships as if they were a child’s bath toy. The Kraken is so huge that special Gloridax sorcery was used to ensure that its projected essence in tournament battle was only a small portion of its actual size. If this precaution had not been taken, summoning the Kraken would have crushed every spectator in the arena.
Rental Cost
This is the average rental cost for The Kraken. However, as I stated, I was able to get it for 10 DEC and I was using it ever since.
Buy/Sell Cost
Kraken is the strongest legendary card in the game, thus his price is around $150 for a level 1 non-foil card.
Card Stats
The Kraken is infused with deadly powers and will provide you intense advantages as you level it up. It would be my dream to get a hold of this card for personal use in the future, not as a rental but as an owned card.
Card Effect
Kraken gains an ability per level:
Level 1: Taunt: All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
Level 2: Demoralize: Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Monsters by 1. Cannot reduce the attack if melee attack is 1 or lower.
Level 3: Enrage: Increase Melee attack and Speed by 1.5x (rounded up) when damaged.
Level 4: Gains all abilities from levels 1- 3. Gains Retaliation ability: When hit with a Melee attack, Monsters with Retaliate have a 50% chance of attacking their attacker per attack.

When to use
ANYTIME. When coupled with a tank healer like Crustacean King, this card has immense potential. With 14 health, The Kraken will be healed by 4 each turn. I love to combine his tankiness with debuff creatures like Bortus for -1 magic, Ooze for -1 speed, Naga Windmaster for -1 ranged, and Halfling Alchemist for that halved damage. The less damage The Kraken gets, the easier the tank healer's job become.
When not to use
The only time I don't use The Kraken is on very low mana battles. I love having him coupled with a healer since The Kraken protects the healer while the healer protects The Kraken. Low mana battles has a higher chance of The Kraken losing due to the fact that he has to tank multiple attackers without support. Even so, he can sometimes dominate them with his power and speed.
Battle
This is the positioning I used for this battle:
Round 1
Kraken goes on front so Crustacean King can heal him. Captain's Ghost is just a precaution if my opponent ever had a healer with him. Bortus summoner supports The Kraken if ever a mage match up comes into contact. Fortunately, this is one of those mage match ups.
Round 2
The Kraken was able to go toe to toe with Serpent of Eld. With The Kraken's 4 speed, he has a fair chance of hitting Serpent of Eld. The Kraken was able to take down the tank and my victory was assured.
Round 3
Since Bortus countered Alric's +1 magic, the total damage I would be getting each turn is 4 but my healer also provides 4 health per turn. With these exchange, my victory was assured.
Round 4
By round 4, the opponent was not able to do anything and thus, I win this game fairly easy.
