Today I would like to share my thoughts on the new season reward updates, that will be implemented for the season ending on September 15th, at 10 AM ET / 14:00 UTC :
The season rewards for this current season will be based on each player's league at the time that the season ends instead of the highest league achieved during the season.
After this official notice came out on peakd HERE, the whole discord channel went craaaaaazy. (by the way, you can join the official discord channel HERE)
My thoughts :
Personally I think that this is not unfair, and it really impacted on majority of people that are using bots with multiple account. Can you imagine that if I own 20 accounts, using bot to pave the way till maybe Silver 1. With 1 fully committed account, I can make all those 20 accounts all at silver 1 after sending them the cards for the power needed, and transferring it to another bot account, rinse and repeat.
This will allow all 20 accounts to get the rewards offered to the silver 1 rank, when you stayed at bronze by the end of the season. Easily, get 18 x 20 accounts season reward chest... that's like 360 chest.
Geez, that's a lot of chest. I think the dev did a really good job of implementing this, the same time as the new 21 reward cards are issued (by the way the artwork is absolutely AMAZING) - so it limit the chest opening by bot accounts and real people who are really invested into this game can get their chance of getting more epic & legendary cards (pray to RNG god...!)
The only problem that for us, the real person that are committed in playing 1 or 2 accounts, are that the rental cards needed for power are extremely hiked up due to season end. You will find crazy rental rates for Gold Foil cards on the last day of the season at peakmonster. But lets think about it this way, the rental on those high power cards might be crazy at the moment, but when you get more rewards / when CL pack is released, you will be able to catch up on those.
This game is meant for the long run. It doesn't matter if you are losing out right now, but you can't really blame those committed people that are with Splinterlands from the beginning, and not quit till now. They deserve what they had totally. They spent 2 - 3 years of their life with Splinterlands, and now they are getting rewarded for their time and effort, which I absolutely respect and think that they deserve that for their trust in this game, as well as the dev.
So my last thought is simply... Chill guys. Lets enjoy this game as much as possible, and IF you really believe in the game and dev, why are you making such a big fuss over some updates that might be BENEFICIAL to you? IF you don't believe in this game, thinking that this is wasting your time or effort, I don't see the reason why you should be staying, playing the blaming game.
