Meet the Team

Our opponent has been using a lot of Magic attack monsters in his previous battles. We're using this card to add 1 health to our team since Magic attacks ignore armor and directly damage a monster's health.

We are using this card as our tank monster and take advantage of its Taunt ability that makes all enemy Monsters target it (if they are able to). Hopefully it lasts long enough for our team to kill our opponent's damage dealers.

We're using this card as our backup tank. Its Flying ability and 3 speed gives it an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. It also has the Reach ability that allows it to attack on the 2nd position.

This card is perfect on boosting a team composed of mostly Melee attack monsters. Its Inspire ability gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee attack. We're placing this card in the 3rd position to protect it from enemy attacks.

One of our damage dealers. Its Opportunity ability allows it to attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. Its also a slow monster with Speed of only 1 which is perfect for the Reverse Speed battle condition allowing it to attack first at the beginning of each round.

On the 5th position is our featured card. We'll take advantage of its Sneak ability to kill the enemy monster in the last position of our opponent's lineup.

In the last position is our only Ranged attack monster in this lineup. We'll use its Snipe ability to target enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position. It also protects Elven Cutthroat from enemy monsters with the Sneak ability.

Conclusion
Cave Slug was our key card in this battle. Its opportunity ability was quite the advantage, instantly killing low health monsters from any position in the battlefield. We were able to quickly takeout our opponent's lineup in just four rounds.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Our strategy of using the Opportunity ability of Cave Slug and the Sneak ability of Elven Cutthroat really worked. While Elven Cutthroat was slowly poking on the enemy monster at the last position, Cave Slug was striking down low health enemy monsters. With the help of the other monsters in our lineup, we were able to eliminate our opponent's team in just four Rounds.
Do you like the ELVEN CUTTHROAT? Why or why not?
Elven Cutthroat is one of my favorite Neutral cards because of its Sneak ability. Its low mana cost and high speed makes it one of the cards that I look for when I need a good Sneak attack monster.
That's all we have for now Splinterlands fans. See you next week on our next Battle Challenge theme. Stay safe always..

What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
