So how are things developing (or not?) in Yorric Dale, the region where I hold my Castle...?
And how does this compare to pre-1.75...?
Let us see...
Current production...
- GRAIN - 490K PP
- WOOD - 154K PP = 692 wood per hour
- STONE - 617K PP = 1110 stone per hour
- IRON - 82K PP = 37 iron per hour...
All rounded up a tiny, tiny tad!
NB this is now across two regions, I bought a total of 7 plots in Xiang Pho, the cheapest where I could find ORE plots at the time. I bought 6 ORE plots (Calderra and Mountains) and one grain plot currently under construction to support that to save on the 12% transfer fee in the long run.
While this isn't balanced, I'm happy that I've got the bulk in stone as this is currently the most profitable, and the idea is i've got SOMETHING of everything! Which gives me more capacity to be self-sufficient in the future. I can always produce more stone by buying and staking more gold epic chaos cards on the Stone plots, for example, I cld potentially trade some from the Stone/ Wood plots if they prove to be less useful months or years down the line, or just buy more cards period.
ANYWAY, At time of writing I am earning....260 DEC PER HOUR.
That compares to....
10.2 SPS per hour previously.....
Now 10.2 SPS = approx $0.07 an hour compared to approx $0.21 an hour, so I am currently making three times as much just by having swapped out the research and only focussing on the three main natural resources.
In both cases we discount grain as that powers everything else!
Fair comparison...?
There are two ways of making a fair comparison.
Basic is to just take 25% off the current returns... pre 1.75 I was devoting around 25% of my resources to RESEARCH which I am no longer doing... so that would give me a yield of $0.15, still more than double the SPS for the PP.
(I round down as I now have MORE PP than I did previously!)
Another way would be to try and calculate what I'd have left for sale IF I wanted to maintain research at the same level as I did before!
Here I would need an equal amount grain as before, BUT ALSO PP equivalents of all of Wood, Ore and Stone.
If I were to Power my research plots up to 412K PP, that'd require 206 base PP (only on magical, that'd be doubled, I could just about do that with 12 plots.... that's only around 20K PP per plot, doable with maxed gold rare CL cards.
Then I'd require just over 2000 grain per hour and then also need
- 1030 wood
- 412 stone
- 103 iron
My surplus stone would yield me 137 DEC, and I'd need 60 DEC to buy sufficient additional resources to harvest my RESEARCH.
BUT IN ADDITION TO THIS I'd need to buy an additional 206K PP on the research.
That 60 DEC doesn't give me enough wiggle room to be able to take much PP off of other plots...
I don't have enough PP currently to be able to transfer over to mining research!!!
60K DEC surplus means I could take some off Stone to fund research, around 20$ of my base PP, so I could put 100K (ish) base PP on Stone, or half of what I had, very roughly, maybe a little more as less base PP on stone would mean less grain required there too...
Either ways, no surprise, if I want to maintain my research and have a small surplus to sell I'm gonna have to find more PP, not surprising given that the cost of research is so much more expensive now!
Plots developed and being developed
Back in late Jan 2025 there were 276 plots developed and 30 more being developed.
Today this is as follows...277 plots developed and 30 more being developed...
So that's basically NO CHANGE~!
I've just got sitters in my region...
Clearly LAND 1.75 hasn't motivated them to develop any further in Yorric Dale!
Not a lot I can do, really, it's their property!
I have sitters in my tract, land that's been for sale forever at ridiculous prices. I would swoop them up if the prices were anywhere near reasonable.
Mine's just totally dead!
