RE: Splinterlands Blast From The Past Reward Card Giveaway #19

in #splinterlands3 years ago

I was in !LUV with Screeching Vulture from the first time I saw it. Back then the only other card I knew about with opportunist was a dragon promo that was (seemingly) out of my price range, so when this little guy showed up I was stoked.

There are some cards that seem cool at first, but turn out to be less than expected. This isn’t one of them. It’s always been exactly what it presents as, which is one of the best ambush, and self-sustaining cards in the game.

Flight, stacked with a solid SPEED stat makes it formidable, but opportunist and scavenger really make it shine. If properly placed and supported it can carry the entire match in a variety of circumstances.

This is one of the few gold cards I didn’t sell to bolster my regular foil and it’s still one of my better rental properties. It fetches a good price and never seems to be sitting idle.

This is an excellent giveaway, !BRO!

The lucky winner should toss some !BEER and !PIZZA your way to !ENGAGE his/her gratitude mechanism.

I have spoken. 😁

This has always been one of my favorite cards. I still use it quite frequently in matches. I just wish I had a max level summoner so I could use a level 10 vulture and get the extra damage.

I hear you. I almost missed out on maxing summoners, and still didn’t quite get Malric there, but it took the first major major investment I made in the game to do it.

I went damn near full ape during quarantine and dropped a couple of stimmy checks into topping off summoners and legendaries.

It was painful in the moment but I don’t think it was the wrong move. 😊

It was also my first legit leap of faith, if you will, in this entire space and I’ve since learned it doesn’t matter if I think I can afford it or not, certain cards need to be secured ASAP, because now is as cheap as they’ll ever be again.

Wiser words were never spoken!
