With the comeback of Toyota in the World Rally Championship, now there is intention of Japan Rally coming back on the calendar after eight years of absence. It's normal that they want to be back because now they have their own manufacturer and Japan market is really BIG.
Last winner of Japan Rally as part of a World Rally Championship was current World Rally Champio S. Ogier when he was drivin for Citroen. Back then he was a great hope and we already knew that he is a future champion. The rest is history.
So no we have lots of potential WRC candidates at FIA has to put the WRC calendar in one place. The best thing should probably be to rotate the events and that way every country should have a chance to host a WRC event at least once.
Let the best candidate win - as always...
