Season 2004 brought a big change to Carlos Sainz sr and that was a new co-driver Marc Marti who used to co-drive for Spanish rally star Oriol Gomez in their Seat works days.
To be even more sincere, I am not anymore sure if the change of co-driver was in 2003 or 2004. Maybe even in 2003 because Luis Moya didn't want to risk his head full year for small money.
Marc Marti later became a co-driver for another Spanish rally star Dani Sordo who still drives for Hyundai WRC team.
Marc Marti these days co-drive for South American rally drivers on the events of WRC championship.
I don't know what is the price of professional co-driver these days but I would say that they don't go into the rally car unless you give them at least 5000€ per WRC rally.
Anyway, season 2004 was the last full WRC season for Carlos Sainz sr before his move the Dakar Series.
