Seb Ogier has a new team for 2019 and it's called Citroen World Rally Team. He started with them 10 years ago when he became Junior WRC champion driving C2 Super 1600. I remember that time very good. I thought nothing special until he got WRC car for the last event of that season in Wales where he was leading at some point of the rally. We all knew that future WRC champion is in the driving seat.
Nothing special happened from then. Ogier won six WRC championships in the row and he has the chance to continue that way if the guys from Citroen can make that C3 WRC better. I say better because that car needs good treatment from their engineers. They finished last in the fight for the manufacturers crown in 2018. That means something is wrong there.
Probably that's the reason they started with testing in a large way. Ogier is working hard behind a wheel to find a proper settings and all the other stuff around handling. It seems that handling is the biggest problem of that car. Only testing can resolve that problem, it seems...
You can see from the videos about Ogier's commitment which is 100%. We will see at the end of January about their progress...
