The Spanish forward Marco Asensio strike a goal at last minute against Barcelona making total goal 3 to 1.

The first goal was made by Gerard Piqué who scored an own goal early in the second half to give Real Madrid the lead in the annual curtain raiser between the Liga champions and the King’s Cup holders.

Goal was created by Marcelo, who made a good overlap to receive Isco’s pass and drove in a dangerous low cross. Pique was at the near post, not knowing what was behind him, and slid in to try to clear. As is so often the case when a defender is facing his own goal, all he could do was slice it into the net.

Lionel Messi looked to have saved his blushes by scoring a controversial penalty in the 77th minute after Luis Suárez was fouled.

A cool penalty from Messi, sidefooted low to his left as Navas went the other way.

In the 80th minute, Ronaldo scored a second goal against Barcelona. Ronaldo was given a second yellow card moments later for diving to attempt to win a penalty and he will miss Wednesday’s second leg at the Bernabéu.

The superb Isco led the break, easing the ball out left to Ronaldo. He ran at Pique, cut inside and screamed the ball into the far top corner from 18 yards. He celebrates by whipping off his top showing his six abbs.

In the 90th minute, Far from letting Barcelona back in, the Spain forward Marco Asensio then extended Madrid’s advantage with a scorching shot from outside the area with the assistance of Vazquez.

Vazquez runs 50 yards into space and angles a pass towards Asensio on the edge of the box. He pushes the ball in front of him and then, with his second touch, smashes a rising left-footed shot past Ter Stegen at the near post. That was right off the sweet spot.

*Real Madrid are strong favourites to win the Super Cup after this terrific win. It was an ill-tempered game at times and will be remembered for an eccentric contribution from the substitute Ronaldo, who became the first man in football history to be sent off for having a six-pack. Sort of. The second leg is on Wednesday at the Bernabeu.*
