It takes a unique type of person to bounce back

in #sports7 years ago

It doesnt matter if you are a fan of the UFC or combat sports in general.
There are lessons that can be learned from extreme adversity.

Ronda Rousey was once the most feared woman in combat sports. She was widely regarded the best pound for pound woman fighter on the planet.
After suffering her first loss, there were many rumors in the sports world that she was suffering from depression and was possibly even suicidal.

After a long break away from the sport, she decided to return and face the current womens champion (a woman who beat the woman who beat her).

Many fans and experts agreed that she should have had a few 'tune up' fights before getting in the ring with a champion caliber opponent.

Ronda ended up losing again in devastating fashion. She has not returned to the sport since.

Conor McGregor was the biggest star in combat sports history. He draws the largest live gates and holds records for PPV sales whenever he is on a fight card.

After suffering his first loss in the UFC, he immediately wanted a rematch with the man who defeated him.
He was victorious in the rematch and gained the respect of many fans around the world.

McGregor however wasnt satisfied.
He launched a media frenzy when he decided he wanted to switch sports and fight one of the best boxers of all time.

Floyd 'Money' Mayweather retired after working his professional record to 49-0
The payday of a SUPER fight easily lured Floyd out of retirement and the two fighters recently met in the ring in Las Vegas.

Although Conor fought as well as he could, he was no match for one of the best boxers of all time.

Unlike Ronda Rousey, Conor has immediate plans to shake himself off and get back fighting again as soon as possible.
Defeat isnt about records, stats, or opinions of fans.
Defeat is how we learn, how we grow, how he develop our character.

Life will throw 'punches' at all of us.
Rich, poor, old, young, female, male, gay or straight.

How you deal with adversity throughout your life, will speak for who you truly were well after your gone.

Conner was doing well in the beginning but he didn't conserve his energy and later he got tired.

We all kinda knew he was more than likely going to run outta gas during the fight. Many people are saying that he was only in the fight as long as he was because Floyd bet on himself to win by KO in a specific round....nothing would surprise me.

I wouldn't be surprised, the world is full of corruption lol

@supremenyc This demands somewhat more time and energy to Consider in excess of. Wonderful you provide it from a unique angle. Mhhh not really easy... and it had been previously Very hard. Many thanks for allow us to Consider.
