i understand what you are saying.
However, i do not see any "mistakes".
I will continue to use Steem for what it is good for.
- To practice making posts.
- Get better at writing.
- And develop a work ethic of getting a solid post out each day. (which has a lot to do with internal emotions and self esteem.
It is not only free, but i get a pittance for my efforts.
All win for me.
If a person just does time investment and never put money in and then take the money to something else. People who invested money really got burned.

Yes indeed, that is the way of things here. I saw it as such from the moment i found out what Steem was.
From the projects before, and the projects after, the people that built Steem... everything they did, the HF that we thought were just bad / mistakes. Each mistake goes towards a goal that is apparent from those people's actions.
