Recently, lots of things are going around HF 17 and other issues. But we don't have any neat tool to acknowledge stakeholder's opinions.
However, the solution can be simple. Make a poll tab in Steemit.
If one creates a poll, it actually is a post with payout declined, as like @steempoll does. The difference is there are comments for each option with declined payout too. We can measure preference for each from in stakes. Downvote is not included in the calculation to avoid doubling power.
People can discuss in the post, and change their vote as discussion goes.
It should be simple but highly visible in Steemit.
The result is not final, but can provide important inputs from the community.

interesting idea! maybe for some polls we should allow voting with percentages on various options (with a total of 100%)?
I think it is a very good idea.
The reason I like steemit is because share with each other and go to a higher place.
