For me power up is important to get the valuable of my steem power. I collect my steem little by little for my post and then I'll power up when I think it's enough to do power up. Because I want to get more powerful to my curation reward also give upvote to another steemian. I want to engaged another steemian to help them if I have more steem Power. I would recommend you to power up as soon as you get steem on your account, no matter how small the sum is. then your steempower grows all the time.
