Stone is from Africa, Uganda to be precise and came to Europe as a refugee. Red cross did at that time have a center that helped people like Stone settle in our country not far from our house and even that many were a skeptic of all these foreigners living in our very small community there were actually not ever any real issues arising from it.
One beautiful summer morning, Saturday, I had promised the kids to take them swimming in the ocean that we lived 30 km from and went to this center and asked if anyone would like to go as well.
Stone and two of her friends loved to, actually, a lot more wanted to go but there was only this much room in the car.
We did bring both food and drinks and all were having a good time without being drunk and I asked if they were not going to have a swim, silence for a long time, we never did before but I somehow convinced them to take a dip just walking on the shore and we were there splashing each other when suddenly stone disappeared as in just gone in a second. The west coast of Jutland can be really ruff so I knew that she had to be found now as the current is really strong so yelled to the other guests on the beach to help.
She was about 10 meters out, on 3 meters dept just sitting on the bottom waiting to die, so now you know why her name will forever be Stone. I would not have been able to sit on the bottom even if I tried very hard.
