Why upvote is so important for beginners

Steemit is a new social media trend where every piece of your work is paid. image
This article is for beginners and advanced steemians.
With beginners and advanced I mean, one with a small amount of SP, and one with above 1000+ at least.
For beginners, I would recommend uploading new posts of people with high reputation (numbers next to their name).
You can also comment to increase your exposure to the author and his audience. When he sees you raise his position, he will be grateful in his heart and will probably give you a comment or even your own post. That way, you can achieve 2 things.
The first ones are upvotes, and by upvotes I mean more exposure and gain.
The second is a new friend / follower who may upvote on your post in the future.
For a more advanced steemian, I would recommend doing one of two things, either uploading it yourself or using an automated system that is voting for you (for example, steemvoter).
For those who ask themselves why I do not choose myself at all times? The reason (other than the ones above) is that you can actually make a profit from voting.
This is called 'Curation Reward', and the best way to do this is with upvote posts when you are 30 minutes old (in the near future it will be 15 as you can see here).
You can also use the selector bot as I mentioned earlier. When an author gets paid after 7 days of publishing a post, 'curator' gets 25% of the post prize. 25% will be shared between the upvoters of posts depending on when they are upvoted (the best time is now 30mins after upload), and on their SP. The more SP you choose, the more 'Curation Rewards' you'll get.
