Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
Time really flies and I cannot believe it is my second Steem birthday today :) Well, I am pretty sure it technically was yesterday on November 28 because I created my account when I was living in Mexico and since I never adjust the time on my laptop to foreign time zones (to know what time it is in my Czech homeland), my laptop "thought" it already was November 29 when my account was "born" but in fact, it was still November 28 over there :D But this is not important, of course :) The important thing is that I have been here with you guys for 2 years and that I still love it here!
With the beginning of my Steemian ride dating back to November 2017, I was already here during the super exciting times of the Steem ATH when people were making thousands of dollars with their posts and Steem seemed to be a place where anyone could come to have their dreams come true. Unfortunately for me, I was just a newbie to this fascinating world back then, too shy and inexperienced to ride that wave but step by step, I fell in love with this place and its community and I decided to stick around regardless of the market trends and other circumstances. And obviously, I am still here and I still love it! :)
Over the past 2 years, I have learned that Steem is so much more than just a place to earn some crypto by content creation. I have realized this whole world of Steem has a tremendous potential to literally change people´s lives in so many different ways. There are amazing projects created on the Steem blockchain on regular basis and it feels just great to be a part of this place.
I think it would´t be too daring to say we have some of the most creative and skillful people of the cyber space in our community, working on improving the platform for the users and creating new amazing applications. We have some great ambassadors here who have been doing their best to get Steem to the masses and onboard new users. We now have many dedicated curators here who manually and tirelessly dig through the newly created content to discover the hidden gems and make sure the posts get the rewards they deserve. We have inspiring people of all sorts here on Steem and I really feel glad and honored to have been a part of this community for 2 years.
As a notorious stats & numbers freak, I cannot help but include some cold hard figures in this post too so here is a little overview of what I have done during those 2 years.
I have written 740 posts and 10,788 comments.
I have received 75,692 upvotes.
I have got 2,063 followers.
I have accumulated 15,861 Steem Power.
I have reached the reputation of 73.
I have evolved from a plankton to a tripple dolphin and I have never powered down a single Steem.
I have met many wonderful people here (some of them even in real life already) and made some really good friends who might well be my friends forever. I am not going to mention any names here, they know who they are ;) Thank you so much guys, I am really happy and grateful to have you in my life.
I would also like to say a huge thank-you to all of my supporters and followers - I wouldn´t be writing this post if there were not for you. Thank you! :)
And what are my plans for the next year? Well, just do what I have been doing so far :) Steeming hard every day, engaging with the community, having fun with my Steemian friends, writing posts, commenting, powering up, curating, working on onboarding new Steemians, participating in contests, organizing contests and giveaways myself and the list goes on...
