OK I am new here and don't know exactly how things work. I admit it, I'm a Noob here. As such I don't always know what is going on. I think that like Steemit I get my full rewards when posting to other platforms on the steem blockchain. Thanks to their transparity I've known all along that @Dtube takes a 25% cut while @DLive takes no cut. For that reason I chose to use DLive and not Dtube. OK simple enough.
But, what about these other 3rd party platforms built on the Steem blockchain? Sites like Zappl, Busy, dMania and the list goes on. How do we know if these sites are going to take a last minute cut of our hard earned SBD & SP? As Steem & the Steemit platform grows are we suppose to just hope these companies open up and tell us? Is there a site we can go to and see if these sites are taking a cut of their creator's rewards? Lastly are these sites who do take a cut of the creator's rewards without telling them stealing from those creators?
Being as small as I am the chances of anyone reading this post, let alone commenting on it with their thoughts, is slim. SO I ask if you do happen across my post, please, resteem it. I really would like to get a discussion about this started.

zappl - I am not familiar, I'm not using it
busy - if you use them to create posts with busy tag they upvote your post (the strength of upvote is determined by steem power of your followers) do they take a cut, I don't know

Thanks for letting me know that SteemWorld shows if a benefactor reward has been taken. I've used them for tracking my voting power but never really explored the other features. It's just to bad that you can't find out before these sites have taken part of your money.
Seems Zappl takes a 15% cut.

Zappl and Parley take a cut from what I can tell so I try not to use them. Not sure about Busy. Pretty sure Steepshot takes a cut.
yup, I think we definitely need some transparency here. Those companies ought to highlight their commissions before misleading people to use their services.
DTube vs Dlive you nailed....alas, I'm also not too sure about if certain dapps "shave"
You can check by comparing your estimated payout to actual payout.
