According to wikipedia, it define Forgiveness as the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.
It is true that no matter how clean you are, you can never run away from being offended or you offending someone.
In this world what we all need to emulate is the ability to forgive one another because this is the only way free ourselves from bondage and all those emotional feeling we may be having in our mind.
Many people find it difficult to forgive others, so they keep that same person in mind and decide not to forgive the person. But when such person keeping malice decides to forgive that offended him or her then the person is giving himself freedom and also making peace with the world.
God said that we should love our neighbor like yourself and he didn't say that we should hate them.
In the lords prayer, it says "as we forgive those who offend us" in this place God want us to forgive all our offender in order for us too to acquire forgive from him too.

God so much love us, but he want us to love others too and forgive them when they offend us, so that our father in heaven too will be able to forgive us.

Peace be unto you
