To prevent bots from "bumping" posts when they reply in a forum.
In the future I want to make a "bots" view on chainBB so you can see all the bots that have interacted with a post, outside of the flow of the actual discussion itself.
Auto-collapse...I like that. Too bad they can’t be auto-removed from the blockchain.
So much spam coming from all of these “helpful” bots. And that’s in addition to the regular spam. Such a waste of block space and bandwidth, not to mention all of the comment section clutter.
Hah, yeah they do account for a significant portion of spam. I hate scrolling through a thread and all the sudden there's 10 bot posts in a row because someone promoted their post with a bunch of upvote bots. I don't really care that they're buying votes, but the spam... ugh... and it's permanent.
Thanks, just trying to do my part to build an interface on the blockchain that sucks less :D
I am working with Qurator group and we are working on removing those comments and getting a different marketing model. It is just difficult to get traction without the comment, but anyway hopefully in future the name will be gone from the list. In my opinion it is a step in the right direction
I love the idea of auto-collapsing bot comments... that would be an awesome feature.
I do worry about this form of spam... I look at Steemit stats and especially such things as "number of comments per post" which is low and declining as is... and wonder just how low it would be if the bot were excluded from the counts.
I don't know what can be done to help rescue engagement (by humans) around here... but thanks for what you're working on.
I'm currently using it for two things on chainBB:

As always - you’re doing a fine job!
