Wow... that's a lot of bot spam, and it seems like it's getting worse every week. I worry about the dropping interaction level here... which is very real, except for a small group of contributors who create consistently engaging content.
My concern is that Steemit probably doesn't have much of a future (on a greater scale) if it ends up pretending to be a "social" site that actually is just run by various types of automation. Who's going to abandon Facebook or Reddit to be part of that? I could be wrong, but my gut hunch is "not many."
