Passport control rant
Yes, sometimes even a positive thinking mind - like me - need to get rid of some negative feelings.
Today I went home from Bangkok and as you read the title, I had to spend to much time in the waiting queue at the passport control.
New huge airport
The nice Suvarnabhumi International Airport or in Thai ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ looks cool and need to offer a better service to control travelers.
So what to do in the queue?
Write a passport control rant
First I said a not writeable f-word, as I hate useless spent lifetimes due the reason from somebody else.
But what to do. I decide to write.
Who is the one we can blame?
More and more people travel but with a little bit of math a normal smart brain should be able to figure out how many people will show up for a flight. From there you might add the
Planes ✈️ who are leaving and make a short calculation by using the departure time.

CAN
WE
BLAME
?
Out of this you get a nice overview and from there you might be able to calculate the amount of Passport control points which will bring you to the amount of passport inspectors you need including adding some overhead for people being sink or on vacation.
So what
No make your bloody homework and make the right amount of people show up for work.
OR, as we life in digital times, get some more of this automatic control machines as this technology scales way better than human.
30 Minutes extra
Now, after taking a lot of picture from this wonderful not yet used machines I luckily arrive in from of a nice gentleman who seems to have a great job. He has to stamp several times some tiny piece of paper and is allowed to look very angry - for me sad - while he is doing his job

Hi @achimmertens, gut gemacht Dein Comic. Bin mal gerade aus Doha beim Zwischenstopp am Comic vorbei gegangen.
Alles eine Frage des Geldes. Natürlich könnte man mehr Zöllner dort hinsetzen - dann kostet es halt mehr. Billiger ist es aber, einfach zu sagen "Warten und Klappe halten, oder Zuhause bleiben." Und heute ist der Preis alles was zählt beim Fliegen, nicht mehr so wie früher, als fliegen noch etwas Exclusives war.
Das mag sein. Aber so gab es die Zeit für einen Rant und das schadet ja auch nicht. ;-)

Yes, this time, while entering Europe, all people went to the queue and I straight to the machine.
Saved some time, but did not created a post on steem.
See? That's the problem when you live in Germany, lol! The discrepancy is huge!
Yes and no. I mainly don’t like queues at all.
But blogging about this while waiting in a queue made it useful time again.

Was giving them to Detlev, what are you on?
Certainly it was a time for jai yen. I chatted to the people in the queues around me in whatever broken parts of common languages we could knit together. Some American ladies got told off for taking photos - the ladies were not being subtle about it. That airport was a arrive three hours before your flight kind of place.

You should have seen it back when Don Muang was the only international airport. Suvanabhumi airport certainly is busy, but it is a massive improvement from the way that city was 15 years ago.
