This is a very intelligent app for the blind people that they can freely find their way with independence. Now definitely blind people can move anywhere they want.
Does this app work perfectly? I'm afraid that it has a very little rating on play store.
What does it mean by Arianna system? What they have used to recognize color strips?
I am afraid of the speed of this technology. Indeed Virtual Reality is one of the most promising stuff which gives you incredible and unbelievable results. No doubt credit always goes to the developers and all the team behind that project. Arianna App is also one of such type of projects which can be revolutionary one. I am so happy that humanity is still alive and people are working for disabled people which is really appreciable. Great hunt of the day:
Some special labels, such as QR codes, could also be deployed along the path for giving additional information, such as audio-guides.
I really wanna give a big Salute to the Makers of this awesome project and also thanks to the @leoumesh for searching a valuable stuff. Keep it up man.
Technology is always improving our well being, though it's not without adverse effects. With an app like Arianna, the visually impaired people are able to move around by just using their smartphones to track laid down lines. I still have to imagine how they'd get to open the app at first, perhaps a friendly assistance may do.
The major issue I could see is the availability of the striped lines in public places.
Thanks for sharing this lovely piece.
Every now and then you see a new invention that is so smart and yet so simple, that you think: "Why didn't I think of that?". Amazingly simple and yet so effective! Great invention, great hunt!
I've always said that I'm a fan of technology that's not just cool, but that actually improves the lives of people in a direct and meaningful way. This is one of them. My favorite part is that it doesn't attract too much attention like a cane. The only thing this needs now is to get more establishments on board with implementing the stripes on their building's design, so the blind can use them. Great find!
health technology evolves so fast. I'm glad to see that this kind of device is invented to help blind people to move without any problem. Being safe is most important. Great hunt!
Amazing amazing amazing. As a person with disability I am really excited when I see stuff like this I am really thankful for this great hunt thanks a lot
i hope it detects every kind of obstacle and not at the end of the time because at the end time they cannot decide to where to go . so there must be good range by the way what i think is it will work great only in those smartphones who are having best camera . because smart phones with low quality couldnot detect the lines easily so its difficult for them ? .
When blind people open camera at the striped lines and shake mobile back and forth, there will be vibrations if the lines are found creating a direction for routes for those people to walk with freedom and independence. Also there is no any audio interference for notification. They can happily go anywhere and participate in many social activities without any obstruction or wearable gadget.
great idea behind it and i hope many blind people will get benefit from it . great hunt friend keep on hunting 😊
@leoumesh, this is a cool hunt and a really good one for the blind. It is great what technology can do that the smartphone can be used like a virtual cane, but I believe the blind still needs to use the cane so that other people can help them and know that they are blind, otherwise with just smartphone, people around would not know that they need to help the blind.
I like this product. What struck me is the fact that a physical object is now an application on a smartphone. Instead of using a cane, the application can guide a blind person. This makes sense, if AI can help a car to "see" why cant it do the same for a person?
It would only be useful in countries with the infrastructure in place.I think it should be miniaturized and made to be wearable or else waving a smartphone around will be clear invitation for thieves and pickpockets.Great hunt @leoumesh

Nice find, who woulda thought our phones would be helping the blind one day. Crazy times we live in :))

Impressive find! I hope more items be uncovered basically to assist the sick and those with perception difficulties. A truly great find!
Its a gift to the Blind, great idea.
Great hunt @leoumesh. I love how technology can be used for a great cause. "smartphones" for a reason.
