This robotic system was made by the MIT lab and its a new,cheaper and faster approach in making new buildings. This would be able to build basic structures of buildings and bring about the possibility of making newer building concepts.

Yeah, it's a sure thing that it is a brand new concept to design a building but how could it be possible with only a ROBOT? Is ROBOT do everything ALL ALONE?
Are the BUILDINGs built by using this ROBOT are WORTH to live?? Curious to know..

This has a really good potential! I really see this being used in humanitarian work as a fast, cheap and simple method to build a huge numbers of shelters when time is of essence.
This is a good news for Civil Engineers. They won't need much calculations manually with the set perameters of this 3d printing machine.
Technology keeps on surprising and is another surprise from the designers of this 3d building printing system.
It would reduce the labour cost in the initial stages of a building prpjects because there will be not much need of human power as the bases would be build automatically by this machine.
And i am sure there would be certain procedures to make the building strong enough to withstad the time and other factors compared with the other methods of building bases for a building. And it looks like used for small buildings constructions. May be in future there would be more precise and bigger machines like this to make huhe buildings by 3D printing.

3D printing is an exciting technology no doubt about that. The thing is it can be a bit complicated wit all those extra stuff like isolation, facade etc. But it can surely find it use in some simple cases, or for the base of the building.
3D printing in housing is the next big thing in an industry where it is harder and harder to find labor.
Starting small and going big, printing house can be affordable to the world population.
somewhere i saw this already. The idea is great. It make the constraction work faster and cheaper. Sad part that the human labor will be less.
Anyway i am just curious how safe these houses are? Since i am living in ph i am always curious if the building is typhoon resist or not😁
Also how these building keep the hot or the cold?

This one is quite fascinating robot @ninuola😀 With this robot, now you can 3-D print the basic house structure within 20 hours. It can design any complex structure for a building without being in collision or accident with very much low cost. The customizable arms of robot helps to design any new structure that cannot be possible with traditional methods. It can even acuire construction materials like sand and cement itself, no help needed from human to load and unload it. Best robot that you can deploy in emergency and disastrous areas for relief. They will provide shelter to them in much short time. Can take into account the temperature, light, pressure, concentration of cement while building through its sensors. Superb one!!🙂

The gif is epic level of creativity. The robot is awesome and gives us a glimpse of how our near future looks like. It's important for us to embrace new tech in our lives to welcome future. One thing that constantly knocks at my thought process is the orientation of big companies for such products that is earning big profits that actually leaves almost no room for a vast majority of poor or lower middle class people to afford such tech. I wish, it becomes available even for the most unprivileged humans alive on planet earth.

@ninuola, a cool hunt indeed. As now 3D printing is the new trend and to have the robot to do the 3D printing buildings is great and also fast and convenient to get it up within a day. Great hunt.
