Hunter's comment
Coffee is kind of essential to most Koreans especially in the big cities like Seoul.
I think this is the best use of coffee waste to change it to be productive, material of creativity.
I'm using MOG filament (believe me, it's good) and personally love the "bitter-sweet smell of coffee" when it's been printed!
- Hybrid 3D printing filament combining PLA(polylactic acid: extracted from corn) and coffee waste
- Biodegradable material that returns to nature
- Shows natural coffee color which may vary slightly

Coffee waste recycle products seem to be trendy these days on Steemhunt. I'm a fan of pretty much every up-cycling and as I said a few times coffee waste has big potential for many different uses.

This eco-friendly coffee filament (MOG-CA) is produced out of the waste from coffee plants. It is a filament made from PLA materials and mixed with coffee grounds. The filament is very durable, easy to use and has a similar surface structure like ordinary plastic filaments.
It is free on carnicogens which makes it a perfect material to use for household hardware and can be used by kidz all of ages.
I checked the homepage the filament comes as a 1kg Roll but unfortunately there is no shop on that site. And also the price of the product is not mentioned.
Anyways a very great product that makes 3D-Printing more eco-friendly. Thanks for sharing, good Hunt!
Sorry that my reply is late.
I think MOG is currently available in Korea, Japan and China. Hope they expand their market soon!
I think it's a really good product because coffee waste doesn't just go to waste but is recycled in 3D printers.
The environment must be kept.
Thanks for your support :D
I really need to see a 3D printer at work in real life. I have seen much of seemingly cool 3D printers on here recently, this inclusive. The plastic and coffee waste being utilized for printing is a major game changer and hopefully, we can see more of this in the nearest future
Thanks, you can use MOG filament for all FDM printers like other PLAs.
How cool material is this! This is called not only recycling, but upcycling! Super cool! Wondering how string and durable the material is though?
Sorry that my reply is late.
It's similar to existing PLAs, maybe a bit weaker than ABSs but enough for small products (photoframes, flowerpots, etc.) that I'm designing :)
cool!
This is really good for nature. I think it is a interesting idea that it can be used for 3D printing by making coffee waste. Great product.
Thanks for your support :D
Brilliant. Love the concept of 3D printing with "waste" product, recycling rather than using more plastics to create more waste. And the fact this is biodegradable too is great.
I love coffee too, as do half the planet it seems, so there's plenty of coffee waste to go around. There are certain use-cases I can think of where the smell of coffee wouldn't bother me, but there'd be some cases where I'm sure it would bother me (although I can't think of any at the moment!).
All-in-all a great product, and use-case for 3D printing...and a great hunt, of course!!
This 3D print suggests how to recycle coffee grounds. Since the use of coffee grounds is usually deodorization, products made from coffee grounds will also have a deodorizing effect. I think that if I can make a product with added functionality, it is fully marketable.
Really good practice to recycle coffee waste into something useful. It will reduce the waste piles which are already a major problem on the earth and will also make products of creativity.
Good hunt mate best of luck for it.
Great way to re-use coffee waste. At least coffee lovers no longer have to feel bad about all the coffee grinds that they throw away every day. It would be nice if the manufacturers could find a way to create more filament colors, aside from brown. Also, I'm a little jealous of your coffee-scented prints. Lol!
I never feel bad about my coffee grinds. It's organic, I use it in my garden, it's good for keeping insects away (supposedly).
But it's sustainable way to do 3D printing not using petroleum-based plastic. And as you said, it must be great to have coffee-scented prints.
Thanks for sharing it @replayphoto
That's a great idea, to use old coffee grinds as fertilizer for the garden!
It comes from the coffee's filament to create a 3D objects that is also an eco-friendly. It can print any type of 3D objects and can be use as research or projects.
wow i really love the color of the printing lovely brown color wondering the smell would be love. actually science these days are really working on how to utilize wattages like in this wattage is also utilize this way out nature would be saved from pollution of different kinds . and the comparison of coffee filament win the comparison .
moreover it does coffee natural color and that's really amazing.
i would really enjoy the smell of coffee while printing. best hunt friend keep on hunting 😊
Great hunt! With the help of advanced technology, nothing is useless anymore every single thing will be recycled for different purpose to create new products like MOG filament that re-use the coffee waste.
This is the need of the world. As this one is produced through the wasted coffee material which everyone through that out in the garbage can. But MOGA-CA is now in the markt you dont need to through your wasted coffee out you can recycle it.
This is amazing hunt Thank you for sharing.
👍MOG-CA👍
It is true that big people also liked coffee. Coffee is a very good ingredient. It is only the energy to take away the lethargy and to work after drinking coffee, so I liked this coffee too "thanks."👌
Hi @replayphoto, this is a useful info for steemhunt users. Most didn't know about sih thing like me, u think its an amazing product with lot of future profits for people and overall world.Good work.
This is pretty impressive I really like what this project is going for thanks for the neat concept share.

Like it, thanks for sharing!
Looks amazing, by now the alternatives for petroleum based plastic are immense. Actually a disgrace regular plastic is still being fabricated. Great product, easy to use and ecofriendly, great hunt!
This initiative is good for the environment. Unlike plastic, it's biodegradable and would not harm the nature. Great hunt!
@replayphoto, this is a cool hunt. Who would have ever thought of using coffee waste and plastic to make productive material such that we can create 3D out of them. Great hunt.
