The floods are sure to make huge losses, especially for residents in North Aceh.
To prevent the occurrence of floods that hit in North Aceh, with this government took the initiative to build a dam as an alternative to overcome the annual flood problems that hit every year in North Aceh.

There are a lot of benefits to the construction of the Keureuto dam, not only to overcome the flood, but the diureuto dam also generates hydropower (hydropower), PDAM (local water utilities) and flow providers for irrigation and other uses.

Hopefully with the construction of the dam this keureto no more floods to the area of North Aceh, and rice fields are no longer the water kekuran from the fields that need a lot of water.

Pembangunan bendungan keureuto, bendungan terbesar di Sumatera.
Pembangunan bendungan keureto desa blang pante, kecamatan payabakong, kabupaten aceh Utara. Disebut sebagai penyebab terjadinya banjir di ibu kota lhokseukon.
Bisa di bayangkan bagaimana parah nya banjir di aceh Utara pada akhir tahun 2012?
Berapa banyak desa yang terendam akibat banjir di aceh Utara?
Banjir tersebut pasti membuat kerugian yang sangat besar khususnya bagi warga di aceh Utara.
Untuk mencegah terjadinya banjir yang melanda di aceh Utara, dengan ini pemerintah berinisiatif untuk membangun bendungan sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan banjir tahunan yang setiap tahun melanda di aceh Utara.
Banyak sekali manfaat pembangunan bendungan keureuto, bukan hanya mengatasi banjir, tetapi bendungan keureuto juga menghasilkan PLTA(pembangkit listrik tenaga air), PDAM(perusahaan daerah air minum) dan penyedia aliran untuk irigasi dan kegunaan lainnya.

Semoga dengan pembangunan bendungan keureto ini tidak terjadi lagi banjir untuk kawasan aceh Utara, dan persawahan pun tidak lagi kekuran air dari pada sawah yang banyak membutuh kan air.
