Bakkt, an upcoming global platform and cryptocurrency exchange backed by the Intercontinental Exchange, will offer a bitcoin futures contract in Dec. 2018. The new offering will leverage the Intercontinental Exchange’s trading platform and its clearing and custody services.
As the exchange gears toward its launch, the community is optimistic that its entrance into the cryptocurrency industry will help generate greater legitimacy and credibility to the emerging asset class.
