Keep in mind that utopian takes 25% of the reward (it's huge chunk, came to me as a surprise too). 20% goes to beneficiaries, and 5% to moderators. So after subtracting the 25% curation, you end up with 50%. Check the operations at https://steemd.com/@ewuoso you'll see how much the beneficiaries are taking.
