RE: Crypto space needs to grow up

Errr...

Imagine if you had tried to encourage real businesses onto the steem blockchain

After the unilateral lynchforking of dlive? The "you stole our money - no word on how much you actually spent, no word on how much you distribute, no word on actual mainstream media links you managed to obtain, no word on how many live streams were merely static uploads made to get an upvote" show?

Good luck with that.

Especially, since the still bitter sentiments were amplified, once again, in many initial comments about the upcoming AMA.

Heck, check the terms for the Steemit Inc delegation program: even if your biz fails, or is no match for the community, you commit you will continue using the STEEM blockchain for one more year after delegation is ended. Alright... see ya in court, Steemit Inc.

You seriously want to try to convince a serious business or dev team to consider building on STEEM?

Enough said. It's a real shame

Indeed, it is. And while Steem has a very protective hardcore crew, there is a lot of entitlement too.

But that's cryptosphere-wide. The unregulated cryptoscene has brought out many hungry wolves and it definitely can be a deterrent for businesses. Of course, humanity has shown that it's a bunch of hungry wolves. In more than 2 decades among online startups I've seen many horrible "investors" and term sheets which even weren't worthy of the shredder but, sadly enough, the cryptoscene is even not at that level of maturity yet.

It seems for now only ROI ASAP matters in this world. That's not how the real world works. Nope.
