commenting on a post, gives you the opportunity to air your views concerning the issue discussed or treated. comments is created so each person can share is opinion on a matter. Steemit is a block-chain that is primarily meant to reward quality contents and it gives us the opportunity to ask, explain more or even criticize a post, Steemit is created in a way even your comments can help you earn (sometimes we even earn a lot more when we comment on others post) this has become a reason many people perform fraudulent activities through commenting

Why do you comment

Anytime you click the reply button to comment do you ask your self why you are about to do that.

  • to explain more on the topic if the writer left out somethings
  • to ask/answer questions
  • to write against if you have a different opinion
  • to appreciate the writer

How to comment

  • Read the topic twice
  • read the passage the first time
  • read the comments
  • then read the passage again (this time trying to relate the passage and the comments already made)
  • Now you have in-depth analysis of the passage you can now criticize or appreciate or even ask questions
  • There are some passages the first paragraph can't dictate what you will find in the rest passages so it's better to read all
** Don't read one paragraph and start Commenting it is absolute trash, how can you judge a book by the cover, it's not done**

Reading the introduction and the contents outline of a book doesn't mean you have read the book, you have only seen it

Fake comments

Going through some post on steemit I almost wonder why some people comment on a post

For example @lordjames made a post about Steem words count, it was a post that shows an amazing feature of http://www.steemreports.com (Steem words count)

The tool looks at your recent blog posts and creates a word cloud showing the most common words you use. It starts with a words cloud generated from the trending post.

After seeing such an amazing post, I went to comment on how amazing this feature was just for me to see this kind of comment:

“ Excellent post you have my support, I hope to have your support to keep growing"

Am 100℅ sure the person didn't read the post, how would you comment such under this kind of post I consider it a fraudulent comment

Another example: I have a friend on steemit, this guy is so awesome I love his post the markdown style and with the fact that he post in English and Italian at the same time makes gives the post more flavor

There's this day he posted on
A Journey through Italy: one photo every day #18 - TUSCANIA [ENG/ITA]

Tuscania is a town in the province of Viterbo, in the Central Italian region of Lazio; until the late 19th century the town was known as Toscanella.

yet all someone could comment is this

There are some people who have commented a lot of rubbish to the extent @pleasestop always comment on their comments Screenshot_20180503-091119.png

This are fraudulent and scam related activities please stop

Your comment can offend whales and dolphins (your Steemit helpers)

Many of these comments tend to offend people who can help us on steemit, many whales hate this kind of scamming comment

here's from my friend @greenman

@greenman now writes it in his post

Remember, for those of you that are commenting more than once on my posts without any engagement I call that spam and am now flagging them.

Beware of the kind of comment you make.

That was how someone made a post just to right @donutboy please upvote me

Your comment announces you

A very effective and efficient way of advertising your self and blog i
s by commenting. few days back, might be up to a week now I was just going through trending post and I was trying to figure out what contents make them trend while reading a post I saw a comment from @hellocrypto that comment made me leave what I was reading and go to her blog, I spent almost 10 minutes going through all her comments made in English, just that one comment made me go to her blog and start following her, why because she was being educative and very well structured in her comments. trust me if I were a whale or a dolphin or I even had an 100℅ upvote of 50$ I would have given like 2 of her comments that.

@miti said this in one of his post months ago

Try to write good comments!

Take you time to read posts carefully, and write relevant comments! Don't comment with caveman answers like, "good post", "nice post", or "great"… Also, don't post unrelated links in comments! That will get you a downvote for sure...

I think everyone should read that post here is the link, reading that post will be a eye-opener for you

a complete guide for newcomers and minnows to avoid a possible spam and to write good comments

** please read the comments especially @techslut and @swissclive comments under the post and you will understand what am saying well

other post I would recommend to everyone on Steemit be ye whales on not is from @themarkymark

I remember his statement in one of his post

Just going around dropping random comments where you feel like it because you believe your cause is worthy is no different than me walking into your living room while you are watching Game of Thrones to tell you my son needs heart surgery and we could really use the money to save his life. It's no different than me sending you an email to buy Viagra because you may or may not be a guy that needs it and you happen to be on the Internet.

he is an awesome writter I set him on my ginabot notifications so I can see when he post although I might not have time to comment but his post has been helpful and I believe will be very helpful.

markdown 101 how to make kick ass post on steemit

ginabot the secret to your sanity on steemit

you are not entitled to an audience you need to earn it

My advice to you is that before you comment on a post please go through it, in case you have any other information related or against this post please comment below

All work and no play makes @izzrael a dull steemian

here are some jokes form @sirvotesalot blog (my number one Steemit comedian)

Three guys stranded on a desert island find a magic lantern containing a genie, who grants them each one wish. The first guy wishes he was off the island and back home. The second guy wishes the same. The third guy says: ‘I’m lonely. I wish my friends were back here.’
😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you for your time

I hope a lot of people will read this and take note. Spamming has been a critical issue now on Steemit, you can't even separate the bots from humans.

Bots scam
Humans scam

I wonder why everything must play out this way

This was fun to read.

I have noticed a certain trend amongst many spammers. They tend to focus much more on newbies and those with reputations below 50 or 60, and they tend to stay clear of those who flagged recently and those who have high steem power.

They realise that the more experienced steemian is more like to flag than reward

Am glad you enjoyed it

We (us from rep 60 below)we are the easiest to spam, and in a way because of our ignorance and lack of knowledge we keep falling into their trap and give them reason to do more. I hope we change soon, thank you for the upvote it gladen my heart, you reading my post I count it a privilege and I hope we cross paths again soon, thanks @swissclive

This happen frequently some people comes to steemit desperate for money, I don't know if they think that going to be rich with comments but they usually comments things that doesn't have anything in common with the post, They don't undestand what amazig is steemit and like all good things in the world you have to work with perseverance to deserve a good reward.
