I posted earlier but it seems to have sunk to the bottom of the Steemit ocean, I checked the new page and home page to see there wasn't much movement. Or is it just me.

I am also having problems with Bittrex, On the Bittrex site it says it is under maintenance I know something is going on but can someone please tell me what's going on and how long will it last. I am all confused with what's going in.
Steemit doesn't seem to be working for me today, nor does Bittrex, Help me please I feel lost.

I think there was some problem with Steemit. The page froze while I was trying to post. Luckily I had the post saved to my computer. Oh, I did see your post in my feed but didn't get the chance to read as I had to shut down the computer for a bit.
Just seems really quiet, not like the usual Steemit, :)
Not sure if it's the same issue, but about 1/2 hour ago I got "site not available" repeatedly. Not sure what that means...
There's something going on, think I might give it a break for the night fingers crossed its back and working tomorrow :)

My (re-)introduction post today only made 40 cents or so, even though I felt was pretty decent. Didn't know there was anything wrong (today) though.
Its definitely quieter than usual, I know there is something going on with Bitcoin so That is probably why :)

All the nodes went offline for some reason this afternoon (British Time). So the Steem API wasn't running. As voting bots using Steem API, they didn't work neither.
That might have caused your post to get less attention.

I think they are just doing scheduled maintenance on Bittrex. Not sure what was up with Steemit but seems OK now.
Steemit was very quiet yesterday, I am not writing today, giving my head a rest. when is the Bitcoin hardfork due to end as bittrex isn't working?
It makes sense it would be quiet - I think people are eagerly watch the progress on the HF/split. Well technically it has already happened and the Bitcoin blockchain is proceeding relatively normally - Bittrex have disabled the wallet as a precaution but it is not clear when they will re-enable it. It is best to just wait and see.
I am waiting to transfer my bitcoin to my cryptopay account but both sides aren't working. Got the shower man here today measuring up.. sooo excited sad eh!!
