Changing Fates
I don’t know what it is you
Want from me. I have done my best
To be there for you as
A true friend.
But, I seem to be finding myself
Facing a future without you in it.
I wish I knew what I could say to
Make you understand that it has
Nothing to do with you.
I truly believe in my heart that I
Need to be free, free to grow
Into a better person than I am now.
Your friendship plays a great
Deal upon my heart and I am torn with
What is becoming of this friendship that use
To be so pure and innocent.
Losing so much over something so little,
It hurts the soul, but there is nothing I can do.
Only you can change the fate that lies
Ahead for our once unbreakable friendship.
Is it possible that the fate
Of our friendship can be changed!?!
