What makes this world "work"? Rules, are to be broken as they say, but here are the 10 @steemit commandments that everyone should follow to become a great member of this community, improve your personal life as time goes by. That's just my view on it, feel free to change them for your own good!

BE ORIGINAL, BE ORIGINAL, BE ORIGINAL!
That's one of the most important things to even get your wheels moving. Whatever, post or comment you need to keep it on 100! Take a few minutes more, or hours for that matter! Just to make your work unique in a way, even if you deliver news from some other source, of course, and the source. Plus, review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them!

DO NOT SPAM!
Spam comes in many different forms. Posts, comments or just "funny" trolling. People hate it. I have no idea how come folks don't change their ways the seconds their reputation gets under 25... Whats with that?:/

Any racially motivated posts & comments need to be flagged big time, hate speech and such things... ADIOS! Spammy promotion of some scam flagged. Whatever you wouldn't support in the "real" life, don't support and do it here!
- Comments
So you don't copy/paste, but I can still tell you spam. Do you have any special super powers=? If I see you comment every minute, and the posts are a 30min read... Well, something isn't right here. You try to be sneaky, but we see right through you! Save us the time and save yourself time! Do not spam us with links, fishy promotions and with stuff that makes no sense in the first place.

RESPECT OTHERS OPINION!
This kinda goes with rule 2. If you get an advice to change your ways, honor it. Respect it and make your adjustments. If you get in an argument or a beef with other Steemians, always try to resolve it in a peaceful way! Be the responsible person that you are. If it doesn't work, let it be, your energy is needed elsewhere.

THINK FIRST, ACT LATER!
Whatever you do, try to think it through before you go after things. Not just on @steemit, but in general as well. I had some downswings in my life because I didn't respect the "code", rushing things is never a good thing! Take your time, search for options, opinions, and help. To make the most of your gig!

Not just blogging wise, obviously, you will have to earn yours. Respect and reputation. I'm talking about the whole @steemit platform. Its making huge steps, keep in mind we are still in BETA version. Good, smart people keep improving and adding things to make our Steemin experience as best as possible!

DO NOT CHEAT PEOPLE!
I could specifically name a few, who are on the " @bad-karma list ", lolz. But they do not deserve my time or attention. They are already hunted down by SteemPower, haha! Anyway, if you have any "bright" ideas how to steal money from the reward pool or fellow Steemian... Be sure things come out fast, and justice will take over most of the time!

DO NOT LOSE OR TRUST YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE!
Well, I gave my password to a person who I trust. No worries will never use my account, she doesn't dig computers. Let's leave it at that. It was just in case... Protect it, its one of the HOLLY things around here! DO NOT TRUST everyone, yes most of us are cool people but at every platform, we see a @jwolf or two, lolz! Wolf who wants to snatch that crypto right off your hands! Stay aware, and be careful!

SUPPORT THE MINNOW MOVEMENT!
So many of us around, trying our best. Its the bomb to get the support we need. But this is not just a message for @dolphin and @whale, we all need to support the new prospects coming our way daily. Get in that "Introduce" tag and support the new folks with an upvote and some help for starts! Don't just talk why should they follow you, lolz...

Support the people who are showing you support, maybe upvote a comment. Maybe check on their post as well and if you like it, go for it. Of course, you will find your favorite people and content as time passes. Connection with the people alike is such an important thing and will boost you to the moon if you do it right!

I talked about this topic a bunch but that was a while ago. How can everyone support STEEM as a currency? Simple, POWER UP, POWER UP... There are other ways I guess but that one will work for sure!

I am with you on the spam. Something that I would also add, which you covered in your be original, is those that just post Youtube videos in their post. There is little that turns me off then clicking on an interesting headline only to see it is nothing but a youtube video.
Time for me to cull my feed because I have many on my list who only do that.
Those who just post YT videos who are not even theirs need to be flagged. Okay, I get you have some useful stuff, but don't bomb us with 30 posts of $hit!

Top post, @kid4life. All good points. I would add 'do not upvote yourself if you have less than 500 Steem' as well, because it doesn't make much sense to me. I have researched it tons and want to find a reason for it, besides people just doing what dolphins and whales do, because they can see that they do it, but do not really know why.
I'm trying to correlate a very, very simplified explanation and introduction to Steemit, for all to be able to understand easily or at least, easier than they presently understand the upvoting and the maths behind it.

Ha, ha, ha, I was tempted to say, Number eleven: Do not overuse the Holy LOLZ ha, ha, ha, top man, thank you for the response. Always Steem up, always convert to Steem, always 100% original. Now here's my problem - Never upvote myself until I am 500+ Steem Power and I have a scale and can add actual value.
Can you help? I know it's a difficult one, but people upvote themselves with a 20% power as a minion and I think it looks bad, but still upvote folk that do it, because it is so common and those doing it are not all being selfish. Not at all. Forgive them LOLZ, for they know not what they are dong.
I'm here forever or until something unmentionable happens, and want, like most on here and that's a heck of a lot, want to be as big as part of this as I can. I am interested in the tokens, but need to create a solid foundation, before I build my dwelling here and I'm genuinely blown away by what I have seen on here in three weeks. It's a weird and wondeful place and all I want to do is get all of the creative people I know to join me in this community of growth and development, like no other, but without it sounding liek a sales pitch. Knock, Knock, Seek, Seek, Ask, Ask, and all that business and leading horse to water comes to mind, but I am in good company and I know that we can all grow together, because we want to, we can see the value and we can see a way out of the centralised system that has been grinding our FAHOOKING gears since before we were born. To see that day in my time, would make me sob with sadness and happiness for a long time. Sadness for the suffering that has been caused by the centralised banks and governments and happiness because I never, ever thought that I would ever see that day. The emotions are already in place and the tears stocked. it'd be a shame for it not to be realised and for me to die without seeing it.
Anyway, what do you think about the upvoting thing and if there is a good reason to upvote your work as a minion, please tell me, if you'd be so kind. I have just had a look at your wallet and see that you have over 500 Steem Power (well done, keep growing and keep growing :) ), so you might not see it as important, as it isn't there, but for minions I think it does. Am I over-thinking matters? I'm at 78% upvote power at the moment, so no point in upvoting your comment at the moment, but want you to know it's appreciated.
