Once again a fantastic post. I love the way that you make things so simple and straight forward for other newbies. You've only been on here a few days longer than I have and you're already a real asset to this community.
You also practice what you preach, especially in terms of maintaining a good reputation. You've always responded to my comments and I've found your advice invaluable.
I'm not an expert in anything, more a jack of all trades really, so I'm taking your advice and getting out into the community. I may not be able to deliver intelligent and articulate articles on current affairs or financial trends, but if I can make someone smile, give them food for thought or a little encouragement then I'm happy.
I particularly like your point about being genuine, it's so easy to hide behind a keyboard but I think people prefer a flawed but honest response to a flawless facade.

Once again you and I are on the same page @looksfarwoman ;) ... I am flattered by your compliments and I also feel you are already an asset too. I know you "get" the concept because you are a natural, and I completely agree with you about making someone smile. Its amazing how that works out for both the giver and the receiver of the smile ;)...
The great thing about my last 9 days has been the new connections I've made. I have truly enjoyed communicating in this format because I think it helps get "out from behind the keyboard" as you so accurately describe. If we want to be part of the community, all we have to do is be genuine and respectful; and after all, that's really not that hard :)
