On a side note, there's a really nice cooking series by a frail woman named "Clara", who lived through the depression.

As she cooks, like your very own great grandmother might do, she shares it on youtube, she tells you little snippets of what it was like.. For instance in one episode how the neighbor across the street was found in her vegetable garden one morning. So many people were starving.

Good post btw @luminousvisions

I dedicated my entire life to embodying an example that makes this world obsolete. I was already aware of this and hope that anyone who was not reads it. I also hope that people realize this country is just like this today and it is quite possible that within the next year we see the beginnings of what will be even a bigger collapse than the "great depression"
Be prepared!

Yes well its gonna get far worse. Glad you are prepared!
I sure am!

Hahahaha awesome!
Yes there are MANY places in the world of which will be slightly negativity influenced by major collapse and you are in one of those places!
Congrats on that! You are far more prepared just because of that than 99% of Americants!
With that being said there are many places that will be very taxed by the collapse. Most of which are not prepared.

For those of us seeking the truth we have heard the evidence that "the great depression" was deliberate. They like us have been using coupons issued by slaveowners pretending employers. We must find a way to eliminate fiat currency altogether.

I have great hope that Steemit will continue to be a rapidly growing platform for libertarian thoughts and ideas. While the Steemit model is a sharing one, it should never be confused with any fascist style of government. Fascism is brought about by government force, while Steemit is completely voluntary.

Here's to freedom and liberty for the individual! Great post! Followed!

Always great to meet someone who doesn't accept the status quo.

The fasces was a Roman symbol of power carried before magistrates, generals and state officials. It consisted of a bundle of stick symbolising flagellation, and an axe symbolising death penalty. When chosen as a symbol by the Italian fascists it was not to hint at collectivism, but to show that they took upon themselves the right to use violence ... which they certainly did.

Roman Lictors carrying fasces.

Erhmm.. the whole Washington complex is built in Roman style :) Fasces on buildings from the baroque and later is not at all uncommen. It means (also here) that this is the seat of power (and the right to administer corporeal punishment.)

Yes. They were copying the style. At some point you'll have to accept that not all facts fit your ridiculous beliefs.

The fasces is used a lot of places, not least in the US were the connection between the Roman republic and the US republic have been an important symbolic link. The examples of the fasces as decoration in the US is often before the fascist even adopted the symbol, so I would say that is kind of heavy evidence that they do not have anything to do with fascism.

Fascism is very hard to pinpoint as they really did not have any real program, but one of the few things they were sure about was to oppose collectivism and communism. They did want a strong state, and they were anti-individualist - that is correct, but they did not want collectivism, and fought it violently from the very beginning.

The fascist movement was in the twenties, so I am talking more about WWI. The first fascist factions was mostly made up by veterans, and what they wanted was not collectivism, but what you today would call a military dictatorship.

Haha, OK, that fascism. :)
