A tale of a minnow and a whale

Throughout my life I stumbled upon a lot of things,
met people and hearts from various parts
as I trotted the world, explored incredible sights
heard and read endless stories and plots.

The one I will mention to you in a bit,
refers to a giant whale and a small fish.
It all started with the giant leaving its home,
embarking on a glorious quest.

Finding himself unfit to abide by the traditional rules,
one day he decided it was time to leave behind the fools,
forge his own destiny, live by his own rules,
away from the sandy beach where the tide was low.

For years he travelled the seas around,
one after the other until one day he found
the most unexpected thing one can find:
a glass looking mirror, reflecting the sun
which caught his eye and made him jump.

As he moved through the water he suddenly felt
the touch of a slippery fish under his thin,
a little scarred minnow, not longer than a thumb,
whose skin was about to melt in the warm sun.

He curved his thin and trapped it in,
lifted it up to have a better view at what
he had almost killed by accident.

The frightened minnow looked at the giant standing before him
and all he could say was "Don't eat me, please!
I am far too small for you to feel anything!
"

The whale smiled and replied: "No worries, I won't!
But I want to take you home. I'll give you food
and steem each day; you'll be my pet!

You'll have a nice platform as your house,
thus feel free to swim and poke around;
stay away from sharks, respect the etiquette!

All I ask from you is nothing much:
post your ideas, thoughts and requests,
connect with minnows, dolphins, even whales.
"

Despite the fact the offer seemed enticing:
a life without any threats, with daily meals
and all for free - way better than swimming in the reef,
the little minnow pondered if there was a catch.

Bonita forma d escribir, yo soy malo para eso estoy en pleno aprendizaje ;)

That was beautiful. Lovely example for the steemit community. This could also be a children's story. Thank you for the story @lymepoet. Hope you and your family is well. Xx
